This aesthetic was inspired by the New York City subways. When I first started taking photos for fun, I was inspired immensely by the NYC street photographers who captured the grittiness of their city in such a beautiful way, and how they’d capture its vacancy in spaces which would ordinarily be filled. That’s the feeling I wanted. A forlorn subway platform bypassed by an empty train.
